Wheat Population Baking Data
Data from wheat populations supplied for baking trials over a number of different years and bakeries.
Diversifying our approach to cereal breeding with plant populations
This Research webinar gives an overview of current research on plant populations, what this approach can offer, what we still need to understand and how we might get policymakers to support wider use of such genetically diverse cereals.
Wheat Populations at Wakelyns Agroforestry Farm
In this short video, Prof. Martin Wolfe discusses using multiple varieties of wheat (modern & traditional) in the same crop and the outcomes.

Within-crop genetic diversity increases temporal yield stability in organic winter wheat Poster
Genetically diverse wheat populations show greater yield stability and resilience under stress – especially in organic systems – highlighting their potential for sustainable farming in a changing climate.

Launch of ORC Wakelyns Population
This video is from National Organic Combinable Crops (NOCC15) at Shimpling Park Farms 7th July 2015, when ORC launched its new wheat ‘variety’ ORC Wakelyns Population.
The Organic Research Centre has pioneered an evolutionary breeding programme to produce a hugely diverse population of wheat suited to organic and low-input farming systems. This year, for the first time, ORC is marketing it as ORC Wakelyns Population.

Cereals population data set from trials at Wakelyns and Shimpling Park Farm from November 2014.
Cereal Populations Plan and Data 2015
This dataset from the AGFORWARD project contains cereal population yields from different beds in agroforestry alleys during the 2015 season.
