Event Date : March 21, 2018
Join us for the next group meeting of the soil amendments field lab, this time hosted by Helen Browning Organics. We will be hearing updates of the different growers running their own trials, comparing amendments such as woodchip, biochar, composts, mycorrhiza etc. in horticultural systems. This will be followed by a tour of the new agroforestry planting at the farm with a range of fruit and nut trees including novel plantings like almonds, goji berries and sea buckthorn. We will finish with a practical soil health activity.
Amendments for Soil Health in Top Fruit field lab is being undertaked as part of the AHDB GREATsoils CP107b project. It is also supported by Innovative Farmers. This is the fourth meeting of the group. Find out more about this field lab here
