This member-only session facilitated by Silvia Schmidt policy manager at IFOAM Organics Europe, will discuss the relationship between organic and regenerative farming, how the term “regenerative” is (mis)used, and how to address it.

  • Lack of a universally accepted scientific or legal definition
  • Greenwashing and its implications for consumers, investments, and policy
  • Impediments to genuine transformation of the food system towards sustainability and agroecology
  • Importance of discerning genuine regenerative efforts from misleading claims
