Beyond the label: Exploring resilient & regenerative organic agriculture

Event Date : June 2, 2025

Event Time : 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Event Location : Fraser Farms, Denby Hall Lane, HD8 8YL

Join us at Fraser Farms in Yorkshire, where innovation meets tradition in organic farming. This event, a collaboration between Agricology, ORC and the Oper8 project, will highlight the farm’s work with living mulches and agroforestry, offering an opportunity to explore how these practices are being integrated into a working organic system to build resilience and long-term sustainability.

Hosted by Alex and Hannah Fraser, we’ll be joined by Jonty Brunyee who will explore the wider challenges being faced by farmers and the food system as we look at how to link up agroecological actions, organic standards and build farming systems that are truly regenerative.

Throughout the day we’ll walk the farm and the Frasers will share research findings, practical insights, and the real-world challenges of adopting regenerative methods. You’ll gain a first hand look at how they are going beyond organic standards to create a diverse, thriving farm ecosystem.

The event will also feature a discussion session on actions and next steps for attendees, where to go for more information on the practices covered across the day and the opportunity to share challenges being faced and priorities for making change.

Whether you’re a farmer, researcher, advisor, or just passionate about the future of sustainable agriculture, this day will offer valuable knowledge and practical takeaways.
