EURAF 2026, the biggest agroforestry conference in Europe, will take place on June 22–26 in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

Traditional agroforestry still is an important element of current farming systems in Switzerland and in all European countries.Modern agroforestry maintains productive agricultural systems under climate change, sequesters carbon, protects soils and maintains biodiversity.

The EURAF Congresses: Every other year, 400+ scientists, policy makers and farmers discuss the latest advancements on agroforestry. The goals of the Congress are to:

  • Connect scientists, farmers and policy makers
  • Advance the know-how on agroforestry by learning across borders
  • Facilitate the planting of trees on farmland by translating scientific to practical know-how

EURAF are now accepting abstract proposals for sessions and workshops. Contributions are divided into four main themes:
Theme 1: Agroforestry for food security
Theme 2: Agroforestry for farmers and people
Theme 3: Reconciling agriculture and nature
Theme 4: Agroforestry systems design

EURAF highly encourage the submission of abstracts from researchers, coordinators and activists representing minority groups, such as women and young farmers across Europe.
