Don’t be so British!

As is the British way, many of the UK’s young, innovative farmers and growers have been too humble to put themselves forward for the YOFGY award. However, we believe their hard work deserves to be recognised. With this in mind, we have extended the application deadline to 10th May 2024, and we are reaching out to mentors, consultants and advisors to shine a light on the young people who are too modest to shout about the wonderful things they are doing.

If you know of an individual or team of two or three who you feel deserve nomination for the YOFGY Award, who also meet the following criteria, please click on the link below for guidance on how to nominate:

  • Young – nominees should be less than 40 years old on 31st December 2024
  • Organic – nominations should centre around the adoption of organic principles even though the nominee may not be producing or working with organically certified produce
  • Farmer – nominees should be working in and for the organic community; they may be employed by farmers or organisations within the sector even if they do not class themselves as farmers.
