ORC launches £100k funding appeal

ORC has a launched a £100,000 funding appeal to help meet existing commitments in 2012 and to support development in 2013. While ORC has been successful in securing new projects, donation income to cover core-funded activities including policy advocacy work, piloting new ideas, supporting PhD studies, educational activities and maintaining building infrastructure has fallen due to the recession. The new appeal aims to reverse this and features an easy-to-use on-line donation facility recently introduced to the ORC website:

ORC’s achievements in developing its research programme are highlighted in the latest annual report (PDF 1.8MB) for the year ending October 2011, published in July. The report features progress across the full range of ORC’s activities, from research to advice, education and policy advocacy. Further information on many of these activities can be found on the ORC website. The annual report also provides a summary of ORC’s financial situation, with a significantly reduced deficit representing some progress, but with further financial challenges to be addressed in 2012 which are at the heart of the new appeal.
