Full Grant budget increase
Defra has increased the maximum total project costs for an ADOPT Full Grant from £100,000 to £200,000.
This change responds to feedback from the farming community. A larger project budget means a single application can bring in more farming partners, so more farmers can benefit from the funding. It also creates scope for greater impact — enabling trials to be tested across more farms — and makes it easier to engage research organisations, technology providers and others where that strengthens the work.
What stays the same
This grant supports collaborative, farmer-led on-farm trials and demonstration projects. Projects should test innovative practices or technologies in real farming settings and generate practical insights that can be shared across the sector.
