Transforming food systems for human, animal, and planetary health

Early bird tickets are now on sale for Compassion in World Farming’s Extinction or Regeneration Conference 11-12 May, 2023 in London, in partnership with IPES-Food, BirdLife International, Institute of Development Studies and other partners. This event will provide a platform for experts across the globe to share solutions for how we can transform our food and farming systems for better human, animal and planetary health.

You can join online or in person at the QEII Conference Centre in London. This game-changing international conference will include plenary sessions with inspirational speakers, roundtable discussions, networking and facilitated action workshops to catalyse collaboration and change.

Bringing together diverse interests – including environment, public health, food business, food policy, conservation, finance and animal welfare – the programme will enable attendees to explore, share, and build momentum behind existing and new solutions. From lobbying for change in the worlds of global politics and finance to demonstrating efficient and nature-positive solutions… all methods for transformation are on the table.

Speakers include ecologist and author Carl Safina, environmental activist and author Dr Vandana Shiva and bestselling author and filmmaker Professor Raj Patel, plus UN Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, Olivier De Schutter; soil scientist and recipient of the 2020 World Food Prize Dr Rattan Lal, and Professor Corinna Hawkes, Director, Centre for Food Policy, City, University of London and leading animal welfare expert, Professor John Webster, Emeritus Professor in Animal Husbandry at the University of Bristol and founding member of the UK Farm Animal Welfare Council.
