The workshop will bring together arable and horticultural producers with members of HONE (Herefordshire Orchards Network of Excellence) to explore the potential of an agroforestry approach for integrating fruit, vegetable and cereal production for multiple benefits. A farm tour and lunch will be followed by speakers including Stephen Briggs who, with his partner Lynn, established 4500 apple trees into their fenland arable farm in 2009, and Martin Wolfe, who owns and manages Wakelyns Agroforestry where trees, arable and vegetable production share the same land. Emily Durrant from HONE will lead a workshop to identify the issues and challenges in using an agroforestry approach.
