The conference, organised by the DIVERSify and ReMIX H2020 projects as well as the Association of Applied Biologists (UK), will focus on sharing all the latest research on developing and improving intercropping practices to diversify crop systems. Sessions are organised around the following themes:
· Nutrient and Pest Management
· Intercropping for Yield benefits
· Environmental Benefits and Ecosystem Services
· Innovation and Tools
· New approaches to investigate intercropping mechanism
· Species, varieties and sowing arrangements
We have an excellent selection of invited speakers as well, including Dr Antione Messéan (INRAE, France), Prof. John Vandermeer (University of Michigan, USA), Prof. Bernhard Schmid (University of Zürich, Switzerland) and Prof. Maria Finkh (University of Kassel, Germany).
On the evening of Tuesday (19th) there will be a practice-focused discussion panel led by Caroline Drummond (LEAF, UK) with industry representatives from farming, breeding, research and agronomy. Farmers can attend the conference for £25.00 (Prices incl. VAT).
General admission tickets are £85.00 (£50.00 for students) for the full conference, or £40.00 per day (£20.00 for students) (Prices incl. VAT).
