World organic farmland area now stands at more than 30million hectares following rapid growth in China last year. Delegates to the Biofach organic food fair in Nuremberg heard that 3 million Chinese hectares have been certified in the last twelve months. But Australia remains the world’s largest organic farmer with over 12 million hectares of certified land.
