New GM field trials

The John Innes Centre has just applied for consent to plan two new GM field trials, a biofortified wheat (iron) and CRISPR broccoli to determine the role of a particular gene

Defra is inviting representations on any risks of damage being caused to the environment by a release. www.gov.uk/government/collections/genetically-modified-organisms-applications-and-consents. The public consultation closes on 4 March. Please respond directly to Defra or if you prefer through GM Freeze
