Welcome, Alice Farmery, Agricology’s new Content and Engagement Officer!

Agricology have just welcomed Alice Farmery as their new Content and Engagement Officer!

Alice is joining the team at an exciting time, and her role will be all about creating and sharing compelling content that connects with farmers and helps them on their agroecological journey. She’s bringing a wealth of experience to the table, from across the food, farming, research, and education sectors. This means she’s no stranger to the world of sustainable food and land use, and she’s passionate about it too!  Read her blog: Embracing collaboration and innovation at Transition Live 2025

And a big hello to Giulia Zoe Kessous, ORC’s New Assistant Researcher – Crops & Agronomy!

We have also welcomed  Giulia Zoe Kessous, our new Assistant Researcher – Crops & Agronomy

Giulia is stepping into a key role that will see her diving into the fascinating world of crop and soil science. She’ll be working on essential research that helps us understand how to grow healthier crops using organic and agroecological methods. She’s got a background that includes working with the European Commission and managing projects focused on sustainable food systems, so she’s perfectly placed to contribute to ORC’s research.

These additional appointments (we also welcomed Catriona last month) are more than just new faces in new places; they’re a clear sign of ORC’s growth and ambition – supporting the organic and agroecological sectors. With Alice bolstering Agricology’s ability to connect and share knowledge, and Giulia enhancing ORC’s crucial research efforts, both are set to make an even bigger impact.
