We all want our children to grow up healthy. But Government now plans to delay laws which restrict junk food advertising for almost THREE YEARS. These laws came after years of campaigning and are backed by huge public support.
This is not fair to children. It’s not fair to families who more than ever need healthy, affordable food to be in the spotlight, rather than allowing companies to spend millions advertising junk food and making huge profits from it. And it’s not fair for future generations, putting them at greater risk of diet-related diseases, whilst adding billions of pounds to future healthcare costs for taxpayers.
