Would you be willing to answer a few questions to help with Coventry University’s research? The study (CAWR/BTO/Butterfly Conservation/biodiversity research/The University of Edinburgh/CSA Network UK) investigates if small-scale diverse horticultural systems (polycultures) can contribute to biodiversity and nature conservation in the wider landscape.
In general, the impact of farming on ‘nature’ is considered to be negative, or at best, neutral. The researchers are interested in exporing if some types of farming could be a net-positive for biodiversity.
To do this they would like to collect information from as many polyculture sites as they can (location, size and crops grown) to use in a landscape analysis to test this hypothesis.
