How refreshing it is to read that an eminent veterinary association is finally calling for preventive vaccination to be used in the fight against foot and mouth disease.
“Losses in trade that are always used as an argument against vaccination are, in our opinion, less important than the implications for animal welfare,” say the vets.
Sadly though this is not the British Veterinary Association or Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons being outspoken but the German Federal Veterinary Organisation the BTK.
