Event Date : May 16, 2025 - May 19, 2025
Event Location : Various
It’s that time of year again! The #AgroforestryOpenWeekend! Over 16-19th May, farmers already practicing agroforestry will be opening their gates for everyone to see and ask questions. Agroforestry is a hugely important land use option, providing multiple on and off farm benefits, as well as resilience to climate shocks. Get inspired and go ask questions from your local agroforestry farm.
It’s a great opportunity for other farmers, campaigners, politicians, environmentalists and anyone else interested to have a look at agroforestry in action!
In 2021 there were 6 farms participating; in 2024 there were 50, across the UK, Ireland and beyond.
Each of those farms was open and welcoming visitors for some part of the weekend.
ORC will be at Wakelyns in Suffolk on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May explaining our work at Wakelyns, including the AGROMIX project which studied the long term impacts of agroforestry at 8 of the most established sites across Europe – come and say hello to Will, Christian and Philippa.
